I Heart Faces {Furry Faces}

One of the many "joys" of living in the country is the stray cats that seem to always find their way to our doorstep. This is one that the boys affectionately call, "Yellow Kitty." This one is friendlier than most and drives me nuts because every time we open the door to the house or the car, he's tries to run in. But, the boys love that he lets them carry him around and chase him all over the yard. I captured this sweet, but rare, moment in which both the cat and my son were sitting still:) Check out other Furry Faces at I Heart Faces!

I Heart Faces {Autumn Splendor}

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is Autumn Splendor. I love how becoming a photographer has made me really stop and take the time to notice the beauty around me. Every day this Fall, as I drove my boys to school, we would pass through beautiful countryside with the most amazing colors of leaves. I noticed when the light was coming through the leaves in a "picture perfect" way and would grab my camera and make one of my boys pose in front of the beautiful light. Here's one from a recent shoot that says "Autumn Spendor" to me. The little guys mom thought to bring the apples and it was a great idea! Check out more at I Heart Faces! I Heart Faces {Black}

A few weeks ago, my childhood best friend brought her little girl over to do 6-month pictures. She had the great idea of bringing her daughter's Halloween costume to snap a few pictures in. I love this picture of the little bumblebee:) To see more pictures, go to I Heart Faces!

I Heart Faces {Back to School}

I really wanted to enter a photo this week, but when I looked at the pictures I had taken of the boys on their first day of school, I wasn't really excited to enter them. They were your standard, sit-in-front-of-the-house-with-your-backpack-on kind of pictures. Blah. They will be great to remember the day by, but they just didn't scream, "back to school." So, as I scurried around this morning making microwaved pancakes and Eggo waffles, thinking about this week's theme, I grabbed my camera and took this shot. What says "back to school" more than eating microwaved breakfasts at the counter, watching some cartoons as Mom scurries around to gather the backpack, homework, and, oh yeah, it's "bring a stuffed animal to school" day?? Check out more entries at I Heart Faces!

{9 Days New}

I've had so much fun capturing some of the most important events in my friend's life. If you remember, I took pics at Becky's baby shower, her maternity pics, and just last week, took sweet little Kinley's first professional pictures! In just a few short hours she had stolen my heart! She's just so little and beautiful. And, Mommy and Daddy are just head-over-heels! Here are a few pictures from our session. I can't wait to do her 3 month pics!

{Wedding Bells}

A couple of weekends ago, my sister and I teamed up for our first wedding! Hanna and Anthony were the perfect couple for our first wedding. They are both laid-back and just the nicest people you'll ever meet. I am super excited about the pictures we got and so happy for the wonderful new bride and groom. Boy, was I exhausted at the end of the day!

{Baby Makes Three}

About a month ago, I had the opportunity to do some maternity pictures for a college roommate (her baby shower pics were featured a few posts back). Well, their beautiful baby girl arrived early this morning! I can't wait to do her newborn pictures next week!

{Family Sessions}

Once again, I'm trying to catch up on posting pictures from several sessions:) Maybe once the boys start back to preschool I will stay caught up:) Anyway, I've had a lot of great family sessions this summer! Here are some of the beautiful families I've had the privilege of working with.

I Heart Faces {Beautiful Eyes}

When I read this week's theme, I couldn't help getting excited! I have two beautiful boys with amazing, brown eyes. This recent picture of my 3-year-old really stood out in my mind. I rented a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 for a wedding and I just loved the sharpness of the lens. For more beautiful eyes, be sure to visit I Heart Faces. Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it a bit...I still don't know how to get my pictures bigger with Blogger:)

{Summer Sessions}

To say I've been a bad blogger over the last month is a HUGE understatement! We moved in mid-June and we've been on the go non-stop. Here are some pictures from a couple of summer sessions. Don't forget, I'm still offering mini sessions (30-45 min. session with a CD of 10-15 images for $100)! And, be sure to look below at the new accordion-style brag books I'm now offering!

{Baby Shower}

Yesterday was spent celebrating with my good friend, Becky. Becky and her husband are expecting their first baby in September! We spent the afternoon at The Fern in Westfield enjoying good food and even better company. I'm looking forward to doing some maternity pictures for Becky later this summer and then newborn pictures once their little girl arrives. It's such an honor to capture all these special moments for such a wonderful little family and amazing friends!

I Heart Faces {From a Distance}

When I read this week's theme at I Heart Faces, I thought of this photo. This is from a wedding photography class I took last month. When it was my turn to set up a shot, this is what I came up with. I love old houses, old buildings, old churches...everything old. I really wanted to show off the church in this one. For more photos "from a distance", click HERE.

{Mini Sessions}

In about 3 weeks, we're moving from Indianapolis to Centerville, Indiana. I will begin doing sessions in Centerville, Liberty, Richmond, Oxford, and just about any other small town you can think of in that area! Because I expect that we will be super busy unpacking all summer long, I am offering "mini sessions" throughout the month of July and August! Mini sessions last between 30 and 40 minutes at a location of your choice. You will be given 10-15 images on CD. Mini sessions are a GREAT value at just $100 (for a group of up to 5 people...over 5 people is an additional $15/person due to more time invested in session, editing, etc). AND, you can save an additional 10% if you book a weekday session!

If you are wanting to have a few pictures done of the kids or your family, but aren't quite sure if you're ready to make a larger investment in a full session, mini sessions are perfect!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my blog:) This is where I will keep you updated on current specials and post sneak peeks from my sessions. Enjoy!

Tuesday night was the last session in the wedding photography class I was taking through Indy Photo Coach. I learned SO MUCH over the 4 class sessions and I can't wait to apply it all at Anthony and Hanna's wedding in August!
